12/5/20: A.L.I.S.O.N., Com Truise, and more
The (late and abbreviated) Dec. 5th edition of First Listen Friday is here!
A.L.I.S.O.N. released a new album, Éternité. The new album sounds like A.L.I.S.O.N. but at the same time, it does sound like a progression in sound, not as easily pinned down with genre descriptors like lo-fi and synth-wave. This is an excellent new electronic album, I definitely recommend it.
Com Truise released his new album In Decay, Too. Like 2014’s In Decay, this new LP is a compilation of non-album rarities from earlier in the artists career. I’ve been a huge fan of Com Truise of some time and I think this album will be enjoyed by long-time fans but would serve as a good entry point for people who’re unfamiliar with his past work.
Great new performance of “Savior Complex” by Phoebe Bridgers on The Tonight Show.
The recent vinyl-only collaboration from Thom Yorke, Burial & Four Tet appears to have surfaced online.
Great performance from This Is The Kit on Live on KEXP, the band’s gotten a lot of love for their album Off Off On that came out earlier this year.
That’s it for this week, Spotify playlist for this edition is right here, see you again (hopefully on time) this coming Friday.
