I usually agree with almost all of you picks, and thanks for turning me and my husband onto Cut Copy! A new fave. But, I have to say, I just do not understand all of the praise for Bright Eyes. I have tried for years to like his music including seeing him live, but it just doesn't do it for me.
I'm glad you enjoyed Cut Copy, they're so good. As far as Bright Eyes goes a lot of the praise has always been about the lyricism, and I do think Conor is a very talented storyteller. If you wanted to give something else by him a shot, I'd suggest the first album he released under his own name Conor Oberst from 2008, as well as his collaboration with Phoebe Bridgers called Better Oblivion Community Center which was released last year.
Great as always!
